THOUGHTS

I'd be please to know your thoughts on these articles.  You may Email me below.

Don't be a Christian or Jew they both follow the Traditions and teaching of man, be a Truth Seeker.

In the preface to Edward Gibbon's History of Christianity, we read: "If Paganism was conquered by Christianity, it is equally true that Christianity was corrupted by Paganism. The pure Deism of the first Christians . . . was changed, by the Church of Rome, into the incomprehensible dogma of the trinity. Many of the pagan tenets, invented by the Egyptians and idealized by Plato, were retained as being worthy of belief."

Three times in the Bible it says that the Torah may not be added to or subracted from. Jesus said that the law and the prophets will not pass away until heaven and earth - the scriptures may not be broken.  The Law of God, the Torah, is cast in concrete -to last forever.  So why do Christians ignore the Sabbath?  Why do so many eat pig?  Why do so many worship the Trinity, instead of God?  Why do so many reject God's Law?  How will they face God on Judgment day?

Cut away usless tradition that obsures the truth.  Follow the doctrines of God, not the Teachings of men (Religion).

What did Jesus, James, and Paul say about the plurality of God?

  • Mark 12:28 (NKJV),   Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD (YHWH) our God, the LORD (YHWH) is one.

  • John 17:3, (NKJV), 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God (YHWH, the Father), and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

  • Romans 15:6, That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. (This phrase, “God, … the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ” appears 14 times in Paul’s letters-‘God’ is the Father and that’s not Jesus.)

  • 1 Corinthians 8:5-6, (NKJV), For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.

  •

(Answer: There is one God, the Father, YHWH.). 38 times in the Bible we read the phrase ‘YHWH my God’ – eliminating other gods.

Did the other writers of the New Testament books refer to Jesus as God or was there a distinction made between ‘God’ and ‘Jesus’?

  • (There are many more examples in the New and Old Testaments)

(Answer: No, Luke, Paul, James, Peter and Jude each made a clear distinction between God and Jesus. God is the Father. Also notice that the name ‘Jesus’ and the title ‘Holy Spirit’ are never included in the term “GOD” – as clearly seen in these verses above and below.  According to these scriptures Jesus is not God and the Holy Spirit is not God – Only the Father is God.

Did Jesus ever claim to be God? Or did He deny that He was God?

  • Mark 10:18So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God.

  • Matthew 19:17So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

  • Matthew 22:36-37“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”   Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD (YAHWEH) your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

  • Many times Jesus referred to the ‘Father’ as ‘His God’, and ‘His Father’.

(Answer: NO, Jesus, never called Himself God, and always made a clear distinction between Himself and God – speaking of God using the 3rd person singular masculine pronouns.  (Jesus denies that He is God Almighty as is the Father, YAHWEH.)

  • Does Jesus have a God?

  • Micah 5:2-4, But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, although you are small among the tribes of Judah, from you will come forth for Me one who will be ruler over Israel. His origins are from of old, from ancient days. 3 Therefore He will give them up, until the time when she who is in labor has given birth, and the rest of his brothers will return to the children of Israel. 4 He will stand and shepherd in the strength of the LORD (YHWH), in the majesty of the name of the LORD (YHWH) his God; ….” If Micah 5:2 is referring to the Messiah being born in Bethlehem, then Micah 5:4 says that Messiah has a God - YHWH.

  • Matthew 27:46, And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying Eli, eli, lama sabachthani? That is to say, My God, my God why has thou forsaken me?

  • Revelation 3:14, "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, 'These things says the amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God:"

(Answer; Jesus said He had a God, Paul and John agree.  How can a God have a God?)

According to the Bible, who are we to worship?

  • Exodus 20:1-3, And God spoke all these words, saying:  “I am the LORD (YHWH) your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. “You shall have no other gods before Me.

  • Deuteronomy 6:13-14, You shall fear the LORD(YHWH) your God and serve Him, and shall take oaths His Name. You shall not go after other gods, the gods of the peoples who are all around you.

  • Matthew 4:10,  Then Jesus said to him, Be gone, Satan! For it has been written, You shall worship the LORD (YHWH, the Father) your God, and Him alone shall you serve.

  • Acts 24:14, But this I confess to you, that according to the Way which they call a sect, so I worship the God of my fathers (YHWH), believing all things which are  written in the Law and in the Prophet

(Answer: according to Jesus we are to Worship God, YHWH, the Father Alone – and they that do are the “true worshipers” according to Jesus. (John 4:23)) And that perfectly agrees with the First commandment, Exodus 20:2-3, “I am the LORD (YHWH) your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt out of the house of bondage, You shall have no other gods before Me.”

  • According to the New Testament, who are we to Pray to?

  • John 16:23, (Jesus said) - “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you.”

  • Romans 8:15, For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, 'Abba, Father.'"

  • Ephesians 1:17, I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

(Answer:  I can’t find one instruction, command or example to pray to anyone but the Father – That’s who Jesus and the disciples prayed to.  We are to ask the Father in Jesus Name.)

If Yahweh alone is God, who is Jesus?

  • Psalm 2:11-12a, Serve the LORD (YHWH) with fear, And rejoice with trembling.  Kiss the Son (Jesus), lest He (YHWH) be angry, And you perish in the way …   (The Son)

  • Hebrews 2:9, But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.  (made lower than Angels ‘man’-but now crowned with glory and honor)

  • Luke 22:48, But Jesus said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” (Son of Man)

  • Colossians 1:15, He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  (firstborn over all creation)  Genesis says that we are all made in the image of the invisible God, by sin we corrupted that image, but Jesus did not corrupt that image, He is in the perfect image of God.

  • Mt 22:42-46,  Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.  He said unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,  The LORD (Yahweh) said unto my Lord (Jesus), Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?  If David then calls him Lord, how is he his son?  And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.  (He is Lord, but not YAHWEH (LORD))

(Answer: We are to Honor and Praise Lord Jesus, as our Messiah, mediator, High Priest, and Son of God, Son of Man, Lamb of God, He is a Prophet Anointed by God with the Holy Spirit, He is our Lord, but never is He called LORD(YHWH), God Almighty, or Yahweh. The Bible always makes a clear distinction between God and His Son.

  • (Answer: according to the Bible, Jesus was not pre-existant, as was God the Father.  Through some process, God made, generated or begot Jesus at some point, perhaps before the earth was created.  But the timing is not known or given.

For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

(Answer; We are to worship God, not Jesus, the Lamb, or any other.

  • The Book of Revelation tells us to worship “Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water” (Rev 14:7), who is that?

Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.” (this is from the 4th of the 10 Commandments, etched in stone by the finger of God – can’t argue with that, YAHWEH, the Father, made heavens and earth, the sea and all that is in them)

  • Acts 7:49-50, ‘Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool.  What house will you build for Me? says the LORD (YHWH), Or what is the place of My rest? Has My hand not made all these things?

  • (Answer: The LORD (YAHWEH, The Father) made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them – Jesus agrees in Mark 10:6 – We are to Worship The Father, YHWH).  Jesus did not create the Heavens and Earth.  God through, His spoken Word, created the Heavens and the Earth.  John then metaphorically referred to Jesus as the ‘Word’ made flesh.  It was God through His word that created, not Jesus himself.

Some people claim that Jesus was God because of the works he did and the things he said.Jesus said that all he did and all he said came from the Father. What did the Father give to the Son that He didn’t already have?

  • Authority to Judge - John 5:27, (NKJV), and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man.

  • Believers - John 6:37, (NKJV), All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.

  • Followers - John 10:29, (NKJV), My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand.

  • All Things - John 13:3, (NKJV),  Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God,

(Answer: Yahweh God gave Jesus everything including life (John 5:26)

Throughout the Scriptures we see a unique relationship between the Father and the Son, but theHoly Spirit is absent from the relationship.  Why?

  • Matthew 11:27, 27, All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.  (Where is the Holy Spirit? - Absent)

  • Matthew 16:27, For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.  (Where is the Holy Spirit - Absent

  • John 3:35, The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. (Where’s the Holy Spirit? -Absent)

  • John 10:30, (KJV), “I and my Father are one.”  (Where is the Holy Spirit in this relationship?)

  • John 6:46, No one has seen the Father except the one who is from God; only he has seen the Father. (The Holy Spirit hasn’t seen the Father, but Jesus has -Why?)

  • 1 Corinthians 11:3, Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God. (Again, no mention of the Holy Spirit)

  • 1 John 1:3b, “…and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.”   (No fellowship with the Holy Spirit?  Why?)

  • 1John 2:23, Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.  (Where is the Holy Spirit? - Absent)

  • Revelation 21:22-23, And I saw no temple therein; for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the Light thereof. (Where is the Holy Spirit? - Absent)

  • Revelation 22:3, And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him.  (Where is the Holy Spirit? - Absent)

  • Thrones in heaven, the 24 Elders have thrones Rev 4:4, around the center Throne. That center throne belongs to the Father but has been given to the Son.  (Where is the Holy Spirit? - Absent)

(Answer: the Holy Spirit is absent while Jesus and the Father have an intimate relationship – The Holy Spirit is absent because the Holy Spirit is not god or person.)

The Doctrine of the Trinity states that there are three co-equals, co-eternal beings, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. But what do the scriptures say about someone being co-equal to Yahweh, the Father?

  • Exodus 20:3, (YHWH speaking) “You shall have no other gods before me”

  • Isaiah 40:25, “To whom then will you liken Me, Or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One.”

  • Isaiah 46:5, “To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal And compare Me, that we should be alike?”

  • Psalm 2:7, “I will declare the decree: The LORD (YHWH) hath said unto Me, ‘Thou art My Son (Jesus); this day have I begotten Thee.” (according to Acts 13:33 this verse is speaking about Jesus being begotten)

  • Psalm 95:3, For the LORD (YHWH) is the great God, And the great King above all gods.

  • 1 Timothy 2:5. “For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus”.  If Jesus is God and man, why does He need to mediate between God and man, does He mediate to Himself?  Why did they call Him ‘the Man’, this is post resurrection?

  • Jeremiah 16:11, then you shall say to them, ‘Because your fathers have forsaken Me,’ says the LORD (YHWH); ‘they have walked after other gods and have served them and worshiped them, and have forsaken Me and not kept My law.

  • John 14:28, You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.

  • 1Corinthians 3:23, “and you belong to Christ; and Christ belongs to God.”

  • Matthew 22:42-46,  Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.  He said unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,  The LORD (Yahweh) said unto my Lord (Jesus), Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?  If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?  And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

  •

(Answer: The Father, YHWH God has no equals; Jesus is not co-equal to the Father who is greater)

Are there verses in the Bible which mention, speak about, or explain the Trinity?

(Answer: no, none – note; the insertion into 1John 5:7 in known to be a forgery, and the concept is in no Greek manuscripts written prior to the 14th Century).

According to the Bible, who raised Jesus from the Dead?

  • Colossians 2:11-12, ”In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands...by the circumcision of Christ, buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead.

  • 1 Peter 1:20-21, "He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God."

  • 1 Corinthians 6:14, "And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power."

  • Acts 2:23-24, "Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death; whom God raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that He should be held by it."

  • Acts 3:14-15, "But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, and  killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses."

  • Acts 13:30-37, "But God raised Him from the dead. He was seen for many days by those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are His witnesses to the people.  And we declare to you glad tidings -- that promise which was made to the fathers.  God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus...And that He raised Him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, He has spoken thus: 'I will give you the sure mercies of David.'...For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell asleep, was buried with his fathers, and saw corruption; but He whom God raised up saw no corruption."

  • Hebrews 13:20-21, "Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will..."

  • Ephesians 1:15-20, "Therefore I also...do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him...according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places..."

  • Romans 6:4,"Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."

  • Galatians 1:1, "Paul, an apostle (not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised Him from the dead)..."

  • 1 Thessalonians 1:9-10, "For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God, and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come."

  • Acts 5:30, The God of our fathers raised up Jesus whom you murdered by hanging on a tree.

  •

(Answer: God the Father raised Jesus – Jesus seemingly could not raise himself for He was dead, He had to die to be a ransom.)

LET’S REVIEW WHAT WE JUST LEARNED

  • YHWH is the name of our God, there is one God and He is one and there is no other (Deut 6:4, Exodus 20:1-3, Psalm 18:31),

  • YHWH is called the Father and YHWH is one. (Deut 32:6, Isa 63:16, Malachi 2:10, Romans 15:6, John 17:3…)

  • YHWH is God the Father, and there are no others and no equals. (1 Chron 17:20, John 14:28, Ephesians 4:6).He is even greater than Jesus, according to Jesus own words.

  • JESUS told us to Worship the Father only.(Matthew 4:10,John 4:23)

  • JESUS told us to pray to the Father. (Matthew 6:6, 6:9, John 16:23, Ephesians 1:17)

  • JESUS (and Paul) said God is one – and He is called the Father. (Matthew 22:36-37, Mark 12:29-31, John 17:3, 1Cor 8:6)

  • JESUS said the God is the Father, also His Father and His God. (Matt 27:46, John 20:17, Ephesians 1:17, Rev 3:12)

  • JESUS said the Father is Greater than Himself, i.e., he is not equal to God. (John 14:28)

  • JESUS told us not to worship Himself - but to worship God YHWH – the Father. (Rev 22:8-9).

  • Jesus and the Apostles always made a distinction between Himself and God.

  • The first commandment forbids us to worship anyone other than YHWH, the Father.

  • Exodus 20: 1-3, And God spoke all these words, saying: “I am the Lord (YHWH) your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.   “You shall have no other gods before Me.”

JESUS AFIRMS THAT THERE IS ONE GOD AND THAT GOD IS ONE.

Mark 12:28-34 (NKJV), 28 Then one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, perceiving that He had answered them well, asked Him, “Which is the first commandment of all?”

29 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD (YHWH) our God, the LORD is one. 30 And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

32 So the scribe said to Him, “Well said, Teacher. You have spoken the truth, for there is one God, and there is no other but He. 33 And to love Him with all the heart, with all the understanding, with all the soul, and with all the strength, and to love one’s neighbor as oneself, is more than all the whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.”

34 Now when Jesus saw that he answered wisely, He said to him, “You are not far from the kingdom of God.”   But after that no one dared question Him.

Jesus said that the first, or most, important command of the Bible is the Shama – that is, Deuteronomy 6:4-5, ‘Hear, O Israel, the LORD (YHWH) our God, the LORD is one.  And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’  This verse declares that there is no Trinity, but only one God and that God is one (YHWH).  Trinitarians are quick to point out that the word for ‘one’ is the Hebrew word ‘ecad’  can mean a unity of more than one being, but single in unity.  Which this is true, but the word can, and often, mean a single individual.  There are many verses quoted above that tell us that there is one God, and “God is one”, and “there is no others”, ruling out the unity concept.  Also in the verse just quoted from Mark 12:34, Jesus agreed with the scribe who said YHWH is the only God and there is no other god, and Jesus said that he answered “wisely”. (i.e., no trinity).  This would have been an excellent time for Jesus to introduce and explain the Trinity, but he did not.

Note when the word ‘ecad’ was translated in to Greek, it was translated as the word ‘EIS’, mean one to the exclusion of others, again, no unity, no Trinity.

It is interesting to note that what Jesus called the first (or greatest) commandment rules out the Trinity. It agrees with what Jesus said in John17:3, there is one God, the Father.
